Walking with a Pure Heart
Walking with a Pure Heart
Many are walking around with deep hurts and wounds and in this season God is dong a work in the heart of His bride to get her in shape for the great glory that is going to be poured our on the earth. He is bringing old issues to the surface through dreams, conversations, even through movies and various other ways. His purpose and intent is to cleanse and heal hearts through His precious blood so that we can fulfill our call and destiny in Christ while walking in the authority of our true identity.
Discovery Of My Heart Condition
One of the first revelations I received from the Lord was about the heart. At the time I was leading a house meeting with ladies from many different denominations and I was very excited to teach about a pure heart. I was fully persuaded that my heart was absolutely pure until I came home after the meeting. I led the prayer in asking the Lord to show us anything in our hearts that could grieve Him.
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Jer.17:9-10 KJV
The result was a deep conviction of the Holy Spirit of sin, righteousness and judgment (John 16:8). The fear of the Lord fell heavily upon me as I saw the condition of my heart. For three days I was in the river of God, undergoing a deep cleansing with much repentance and forgiveness. Through the years God has graciously done a work of sanctification in me, but yet there are deeper levels which I am discovering now by the illumination of the Holy Spirit.
Let us earnestly pray like King David, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my thoughts; and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psalm 139:23-24)
Understanding Of The Heart’s Postion And Its Contents
Let’s take a look at the heart and get an understanding of its position and its content.
You are a spiritual being, having a soul and living in a body.
The heart is the central station of our being through which everything moves – our thoughts (Ps.19:14) emotions (Phil.1:7), choices (Ps.9:1), impressions and receptivity (Acts 2:37), as well as our conscience (1 John 3:21), which is part of our spirit being. In other words the heart consists of the soul (thoughts, emotion and will) and a part of our spirit man, the conscience.
Out of the abundance of our hearts our mouths speak (Luke 6:45). If we bring forth good, it will produce blessing; if we bring forth evil, it will produce curses. Often our hearts are full of toxins which defile us when we speak about it (Matt.15:18-20). Our mouths will come under control of the Holy Spirit to bring forth blessing in our lives because we will eat the fruit thereof.
The heart stores all negative memories of trauma and it is necessary that the archives be cleared out through forgiveness and repentance. Then we apply the precious blood of Jesus to cleanse and heal us through the power of the Holy Spirit.
It is also with our hearts that we believe.
But what does it say?
“The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”
(that is, the word of faith which we preach):
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus
and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead,
you will be saved. Romans 10:8-9 NKJV
We need to watch over our hearts.
Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life.
Proverbs 4:23 – Amplified Bible
The Lord promises that the pure in heart shall see God. (Matt.5:8)

Prayer: Father God, we come to You in the name of Jesus, asking that You will show us anything in our hearts that are not pleasing Your sight. Please give us the grace for repentance and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Thank You, Lord. Amen.
Now, simply make a list of anything that comes to your remembrance. Do not try to work on it by the natural mind. Simply trust the Lord to show you and give you the grace to work it through until your memory is cleansed, your burden is gone and the trauma of it is removed forever.
