The secret power of three seemingly simple admonitions

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).

Sometimes the Bible is so straightforwardly simple that we tend to pass over a scripture, thinking we know it all.

Often people are at a loss for what the will of God is for our lives, but when we start doing the simple instructions, the hidden blessings start unfolding in mind-blowing ways. Literally!

Remember, obedience is better than sacrifice! Wow! Think about that!

Picture yourself living these three things as a lifestyle: Always rejoicing, always praying, always being thankful in all circumstances! This is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you!

For a start, we will be a pleasure to be around! Full of joy and thanksgiving – no matter what! And praying without ceasing – meaning that we are in constant communication with God, practicing His presence and being led by the Holy Spirit!

To rejoice in God is an energizing force, strengthening our faith. Prayer is our power line, acknowledging God as the One who reigns in our circumstances. Gratitude pleases God – counting our blessings instead of our woes – giving Father God the glory as the Giver of all good gifts!

Practicing all three things consistently, as a life-style, will raise our frequency to a place where we will all be on fire for God, walking in the power of God, shining His light into darkness and chaos, opening portals of glory for miracles to flow. What a way to go!

These three attributes will always bring forth new songs to the Lord, making melody in our hearts to Him, focusing our gaze on Him alone in the midst of trial, tribulation, chaos and darkness.

This is encouragement for us all to start intentionally making it our life-style to reverberate with joy, prayer and thanksgiving! It might not happen in a day, but gradually (if we persist) the hidden blessings will start flowing – bringing a transformation in our minds, the way we “see” things, our emotions and general well-being – causing our whole being to prosper and be in good health! Increasing the shining of His light through us for all to see the goodness of our Father in heaven in manifestation!

The bottom line is Worship in Spirit and in Truth to the Holy One – everything lifted up to Him – our hearts, our souls, our eyes and ears, our expectation – our very lives carrying the sound of heaven. Hallelujah!
