The Blood and the Cross

I sense that the Lord is putting a fresh emphasis on the importance of the centrality of the cross and the power of His precious Blood!

After sharing in an evening meeting about the glorious power of the Blood of Jesus that wrought the victory for us on the Cross, the Holy Spirit was revelating to me right through the night that many of God’s people are living in bondage and under oppression of the enemy simply because they do not have a revelation of what Jesus has done for us on the cross.

The Lord is still the same – yesterday, today and forever.  He is a miracle-working God, who will give us the victory in every situation if we simply believe and trust Him!

All our needs have been met at Calvary’s Cross through the price that Jesus Christ paid with His precious blood, whether it be forgiveness for our sins, healing, deliverance, comfort or anything else. He shed His blood for our griefs and our sorrows, our transgressions, iniquities and every sickness and disease that can be named.

He blotted out the handwriting of ordinances against us and nailed it to the cross, having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them.  In Christ we have wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption. The Blood of Jesus even cleanses our consciences from dead works of the past.  But the best part is that the Blood of Jesus rent the veil so that we have free entrance into His Presence in the glory!  Hallelujah!

“Surely he hath borne our griefs,

and carried our sorrows:

yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

But he was wounded for our transgressions,

He was bruised for our iniquities:

the chastisement of our peace was upon Him;

and with His stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:4-5

The enemy is blinding the eyes of many through fear so that they cannot SEE what the Lord has accomplished for them by His shed Blood. Therefore many keep on struggling and reasoning, trying to surrender over and over, but through fear they are kept under oppression of the devil.  That is why few ever live the abundant life that Jesus so dearly paid for.

What a grief this must be to the Holy Spirit!

We need to come to come and stand still at Calvary and LOOK again to see what the Lord has done for us, asking the Lord to give us the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation and enlightened eyes of our understanding to grasp the power of the Cross and the Blood!  He made full provision for our every need so that we can walk in peace and live the abundant life in spite of circumstances around us.

Why would we walk under oppression of the enemy? Jesus paid with His precious Blood for our freedom and liberty in the Spirit and fullness of joy in His Presence!

It is at the foot of the cross that we can simply surrender our own wisdom and control, laying down our hurts, our sorrows, our despair, our fears, stress and worries and especially the reasoning of our minds to receive the liberty that He paid for with His blood.

The struggle of man to come to the cross, giving himself to the Lord as a burnt offering, is a contest between the wisdom of man (the reasoning of self) and the Wisdom of God; between the flesh and the life in the Spirit (living from the Breath of God – the CREATIVE WORD).

“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.” 1 Cor. 3:19

We have to come to the cross to lay our self-life down, once and for all and let the Blood of Jesus wash our past away before we can pass over death into the resurrection life of the Holy Spirit and have permanent victory.

We want to do a quick job of surrender, because we have so much to do, but the characteristics of the Adamic nature need to be buried in the tomb together with a deep reckoning with the forces of self where darkness can get a foothold (Rom.6:11).  Then only can we rise up in the third- day anointing of the resurrection power of the Spirit, knowing our identity and authority in Christ (seated together with Him in heavenly places in ascension) stepping into the “seemingly” impossible of the supernatural lifestyle, where the supernatural will become natural by His power working through us so that His Kingdom can be established and His Name be glorified.

The DAILY taking up of the Cross to follow Jesus

After our initial surrender, we need to come to the cross daily in a fresh surrender of any new issues that may arise (to rule in the mind, will and emotions) and learn to live the surrendered life-style of REST in Him and His Almighty power, abiding in the secret place of His Presence under the shadow of His wings.

THE CROSS IS A PLACE TO LAY DOWN OUR BURDENS, BUT ALSO THE PLACE OF GOD’S WISDOM AND POWER!  Only when we humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God, will we be exalted!

When the Father of glory graces us with the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the knowledge of the Christ, we suddenly understand that His ways are not our ways.  His humility brought Him the highest honor, His Servanthood made Him great, His lowliness and meekness was a state of His heart, not a show.  The Wisdom of God is foolishness with men.  The way “up” in the Kingdom is “down” where we bow low in true surrender of our will to His Lordship in every area of our lives.

When we receive the enlightened eyes of our understanding to see that His desire for us is to be transformed into His image, we will abhor the audacity of self and human wisdom with self-power.

Many want to be “used” by the Lord for the greater works, but God tests the hearts for the true motives thereof.  He will not compete with us for the glory, so those who want to be seen and heard and complimented will stay on the shelf until they have become willing to be a continual burnt offering “That no flesh should glory in His Presence” (1 Cor. 1:29).

“Then, according as it is written, “He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord” – 1 Cor.1:31

Let us come into the bow of true worship so that His Presence can manifest the miracles of salvation, healing and deliverance, while we stand in awe of adoration before His majesty and power and goodness and grace!

Let the Name of the Lord be magnified!  Hallelujah!

Now let’s pray:

Father, Your will be done – not mine!  I hand over the reigns to You in every situation and circumstance of my life and I put my trust in You!  As You have pre-ordained it in heaven for my life, so let it be – so that Your Name is glorified, and Your Kingdom be made manifest in my life.

Show me the way through Your Word and Your Spirit that I can walk in it to please You and deliver me from every evil assignment.

Lord, and help me to walk before you in righteousness with a pure heart so that I can be a true worshiper to worship You in Spirit and in Truth  – in Jesus’ Name.

Amen.

Let’s take communion as often as possible, remembering the finished work on the Cross, drinking the cup of the Covenant, partaking and celebrating His life.  Then plead the blood over yourself, your family, your ministry and business, your finances and everything else and WORSHIP HIM!

“For the Life of the flesh is in the Blood” – Lev.17:11

Let us find our safety in the Chamber of His Presence!

Blessings
