The New Thing – Part II – Prayer Focus
ENTERING IN TO THE NEW THING – PART II – PRAYER FOCUS
I am led to give this part in consecutive sections as a daily prayer focus for 10 (TEN) days.
If you feel led to couple this prayer incentive with fasting, I want to encourage you to set a meal aside to pray, pursue a Daniel diet, or simply fast for 10 days, starting any day you feel ready to do so.
DAY 1:
Many of us have sensed a pull to set ourselves apart, shutting out the “noise” of the world and getting our minds and affections completely focused on the things above, not on things on the earth. (Col.3: 1-3)
NOW is the time to do exactly that to position ourselves for the coming season.
NOW it is time to tie up all loose ends as we ask God to shine His light into different areas of our lives:
Setting our faces like flint to seek His face, repenting of times where we have had our priorities out of order and got consumed with the busyness of life, let us re-focus.
The Lord recently gave me a Word saying, “It is a decisive time for you to step over (all obstacles), taking a “double step” into the new that I have in store for you. Do not let up, do not look back but soar up, and reach for the goal to reach the mark for the prize of the high, upward call in Christ Jesus. It’s time to go higher still, leaving the “earthly” behind, never to be pulled down by the gravity of the mundane again.
There are pearls to be discovered, precious mysteries in My glory, sayeth the Lord. Be ready, positioned to SEE what I want to show you in deeper revelation of My glory than ever before. Reach in to SEE and receive. There is a bridal anointing to be received in My Presence for those who are truly pursuing Me in intimacy as there is a greater glory yet to be released.”
PRAYER:
Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus, presenting myself to You, setting myself apart to you, getting my focus zoomed in on You in order to come to know You in a deeper way and to know Your heart and Your purposes, your blueprints for my next season. I position myself to see what You are doing and hear what You are saying. I pursue You now to receive that bridal anointing and step into the greater glory You want to release. Amen.
Let us increase our times of worship, getting soaked in the glory and journal everything that the Holy Spirit quickens to you.
You will probably experience some “corrections” from the Holy Spirit. See it as the love of the Father to bring you into purity and holiness and deal with any old issue that pops up by the power of the Holy Spirit. We cannot carry old baggage into the new season.
Also journal all that our Father is saying and come in agreement with His Word to you in total obedience.
Now enjoy the special time with great expectancy of breakthrough into a new dimension in Christ.

DAY 2:
Waking up with the awareness that as we meditate on the revelations of the Holy Spirit, virtue and knowledge shall increase. (Mark 4:24-25) I was pondering on this, letting it sink into my spirit.
Then, while in prayer, I had a vision of the Lord Jesus coming towards me with His hands brimming over with jewels. I saw Him holding diamonds, strings of pearls and other jewelry. As I was asking Holy Spirit to revelate, it was communicated to me that the revelations of Jesus are like costly jewels, which are at our disposal as we draw near to Him. He is ready to bestow these treasures unto us as we seek to know Him more.
I was reminded of the Scripture: Prov.3:3: “Let not mercy and truth forsake you: bind them about your neck; write them upon the table of your heart” and Prov.6:21: “Bind them continually on your heart; Tie them around your neck. When you walk about, they will guide you; When you sleep, they will watch over you; And when you awake, they will talk to you.…
These jewels are to be treasured and “worn” around the neck (which speaks of the will being submitted to God’s Word) and written on our hearts (not on stone tablets like the law) having an abiding place in the understanding, affections, memory, and will. The pearl of great price also refers to seeking the Kingdom of God first and His righteousness. SO LET US MEDITATE ON OUR WALK IN MERCY AND TRUTH!
These are for our instruction and as we ask the Father of glory to give us the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the knowledge of Christ, He will reveal the glory of Who He is to us so that we can grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Pet. 3:18)
I got up to answer a knock at the door and a female guard was telling me that my garage door was standing open. I suddenly felt the urge to ask her whether she knew Jesus and then consequently she was gloriously saved while tears were running down both our cheeks. I realized that this was another “jewel” from the Lord – the gift of life that we have received to share with the lost unto salvation.
God speaks to us in so many ways and as I read from a little book of Dr. Andrew Murray, I realized again that ongoing communion-union with our Lord is His desire for us and the greatest blessing we can enjoy.
Let us draw near to God, not with our agenda but “waiting” on Him in worship, to hear and see what He wants to impart to us.
Prayer: Father of glory, we ask in the Name of Jesus that You would give us the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the knowledge of Christ, the eyes of our understanding being enlightened; that we may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places. (Eph.1:17-20).
Father, give us the insight and understanding to apply the jewels of wisdom and revelation we receive from You until it becomes part of our “clothing” and adornment in the spirit. Let mercy and truth be written on our hearts and manifest in our words, attitudes, choices – in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

DAY 3: THIS IS A “MARKER” DAY FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE!
BLOCKAGES ARE OPENED IN THE SPIRIT REALM.
As I was praying, I heard a “click” in the spirit realm and sensed that keys were turned in locks where the enemy has put up blockages, keeping people and their situations “locked up” in bondage. This is a “marker” day and those who have been knocking will see doors opening before them into broad places.
It is an opportunity to step through into your provision for whatever you have believed for! Take possession now by faith in God’s Word and rejoice in His power and presence.
Now declare this Word by faith over the areas where you have had restrictions and see God giving you breakthrough. ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE! Hallelujah!

DAY 4: Taking up your Royal Authority in His Name and with the Sword of Truth
As I was worshiping, I was suddenly “taken up” in the spirit and found myself standing before Jesus. I was clothed in a very regal royal blue attire. The Lord was looking at me very seriously and intently, putting a beautiful sword in my hand, and fastening my grip around it, and at the same time it was like a scepter. I understood that I was standing as representative of His Bride. He conveyed to me that the great deception of the end-times is now being released and that His Bride has to be armed with the authority of His Word, wielding the sword of truth against every deceptive doctrine that is presented to us. The Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God will be the scepter of authority by which His royal priesthood will reign in His Name as His ambassadors, exposing every lie and deception of the enemy, establishing truth.
Many of My children are gullible because they do not know Me and they do not know My Word. Keep your eyes on My face (Acts 2:25) and keep looking into The Light and The Truth and you will never be deceived. (Ps.36;9; 2 Sam.22:29; Ps.43:3; Ps.56:12-13; Ps.119:105; Ps.42:16; Ps.119;130; Is.42:16; Ps.6:22; John1:3-5; Rom.13:12; John17:17; John1:14)
The Scripture came to me:
“Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.” Eph.4:13-15
We all have to “polish our swords” (getting to know the Word well) and being ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear. (1 Pet.3:15)
I am purposed to get more saturated in the Word than ever before, testing everything I hear with the truth of the Word and by the Spirit. The Sword of the Spirit (Eph.6) is still the most important part of our armor of light.

DAY 5: Checking out our love walk, setting our relationships in order.
Pursue peace and holiness without which no one will see God. It is time to deal now with every negative situation that is unresolved and choose to love and extend mercy and compassion.
A holy heart before God doesn’t carry any judgment or finger pointing, criticism, reproach, anger, ought, envy, bitterness and such. Remember, what we sow we will reap. Sow forgiveness, love, blessing and much prayer with declarations of restoration and divine recovery of what was stolen. Make restitution and go the “second mile” in true humility to pursue peace and restoration. We cannot go into the new season with offence in our hearts. Bless those who curse you and spitefully use you. It disempowers the enemy.
Let’s ask God for His grace to show us areas in our hearts where we self-righteously point the finger, pass judgment in pride, carrying reproach, anger and ought against another with envy, bitterness and negative thoughts. Let us take the lower place in humility to ask forgiveness – even if we feel that it is all the other person’s fault. This is the way to freedom and liberty in the Spirit.
Unforgiveness keeps us stuck to the past, but forgiveness unblocks our path.
We have all been hurt by others, but often we do not see how we have hurt people by our attitudes, words and deeds. Again, let us take the first step to humble our hearts before the Almighty and to each other, purifying our hearts to unconditional love.
We, as Gods ambassadors are so often ready to “lay down the law” when we see our brothers and sisters stumble in the flesh instead of looking at them through the eyes of Jesus. That doesn’t mean that we condone sin, but we need to first pray and then speak the truth in love and meekness, not judgment.
The Holy Spirit used my hairdresser yesterday to bring home the point that He is working behind the scenes in ways we do not know, working in each of us to “work and will according to His good pleasure”. We are not always so quick to get the message, but He is patient and faithful to shine the light on the areas in our hearts which are in darkness until our eyes open to see ourselves and humble ourselves.
When we have been hurt we often justify our heard hearts by saying that forgiveness doesn’t mean that I have to talk to the person again, YET the Word of The Lord says that if we walk in the light we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:7).
So this is our opportunity to yield to the Holy Spirit and set our relationships in order.
“Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently.” 1 Pet.1:22
