Increase your Expectancy for the Double Portion

IMG_4921In a time of corporate worship, I sensed the Spirit saying, “Increase your expectancy for Me to do far above what you can pray or think” – whatever your circumstances may be.

1 Corinthians 2:9 (NKJV)

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,

Nor have entered into the heart of man

The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

We need to take our eyes off the difficulty of the circumstances or the size of the mountain before us, letting go of negative expectancy and fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. He will give us the victory.

In this meeting a lady, who had a big struggle with a family situation, received total freedom and great joy as she let go of the burden, putting her trust and expectancy in Jesus to work it out.

Hebrews 12:1-2 (NKJV)

The Race of Faith

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

The great cloud of witnesses shows us that there are many who have come through life’s difficulties victoriously, cheering us on to persevere by faith! The instruction is to throw off the worries and cares (burdens) and the sin (of unbelief and doubt), looking unto Jesus who will take us through. He showed us the way of perseverance while going through the most horrific events thinkable, because His eyes were on the end-result – the joy which He kept before Him in seeing His Bride by faith and receiving His place as the Victorious One at the right hand of the throne of God.

So, instead of expecting the negative, pray for God’s glory to invade your situations, praising Him for His favor, grace and lovingkindness to work things out for His glory – then raise your expectancy for miracles!

Then twice the Lord gave me the following Word, which is repeated twice in this passage).

“Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion,

and instead of disgrace (confusion) you will rejoice in your inheritance (portion)

And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.” – Isaiah 61:7

A double portion is coming to those who will keep trusting the Lord, their eyes fixed on Him to do the seemingly impossible.

Do not let the difficulty of your situation limit your expectancy, but fix your eyes on the Victorious One, remembering that all things are possible for those who believe (Mark 9:23). Hallelujah!

Therefore, whatever your current challenge, struggle or mountain may be, let go of your limited natural sight and understanding. Look away from the problem and look unto the amazing miracle power and might of our Lord. Only believe with great expectancy for your double portion inheritance and let the sound of His Word recalibrate your mindset and you declare the victory with rejoicing! Glory to God!

Blessings

“Seer” Anointing -3

The “Seer” Anointing – 3

TYPES OF VISIONS

As we progress, we will receive more KEYS to see in the spirit realm:

The more I am leaning into to Spirit, desiring intimacy with the Lord, focusing on the Lord Jesus, the more I will see.

In this place I keep my natural eyes guarded, not to look to the world and the “entertainments” of the world. Where the eyes go, the mind follows. Therefore wehave to keep our hearts pure (uncontaminated or clouded with worries or concerns) so that our spiritual eyes can receive the light of understanding, constantly “looking for His face”, minding the things of the Spirit, not of the flesh.

Visions frequently come when we are in deep worship in the Spirit. (Rev.1: “I was in the Spirit of the Lord’s day”).

There are different types of visions, but today we will discuss:
INNER VISION.

Inner Vision comes when we are wide awake with open or closed eyes, but seeing in the spiritual realm with our spiritual eyes.

The Greek word “horama” (Strong’s # 3705 – cognate – a vision (spiritual seeing), focusing on the impact it has on the one beholding the vision (spiritual seeing).

This type of vision occurs most often, but in order to obtain the greatest benefit from it, we need to exercise faith and ask for the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation to interpret the vision and then apply it appropriately.

It comes from relationship in intimacy of worship and at the same time it brings a revelation of the knowledge of the Lord and of His heart. It is often accompanied by the Holy Spirit bringing remembrance of a certain Scripture and that is why it is important to get saturated in the Word.

I will share a practical example with you for greater understanding and put explanatory notes in brackets.

I want to encourage you to use your imagination and “picture” (envision) the experience with me:

It had been raining earlier on, but when I went for a walk along the ocean and then along a lagoon, the mist was so thick that I couldn’t see further than a hundred yards around me. There was an air of wonder in the mood of this late afternoon, and I was worshiping the Lord for His awesome creative power (not asking for , anything, or having any consciousness other than Him, just worshiping Him). Everything was misty and the picture was painted in monochrome tones with the sound of the waves tumbling onto the shore. I started singing some “new” songs to the Lord (spontaneous impromptu lyrics that came up in my spirit), worshiping Him with all my heart, delighting myself in the beauty of His creation. Seagulls were drifting along with the outgoing tide and others were gathered in groups along the side of the lagoon, occasionally rising up and flying to the other side as I drew near.

Seagulls were drifting along with the outgoing tide and others were gathered in groups along the side of the lagoon, occasionally rising up and flying to the other side as I drew near. The fog was creeping in closer and closer and in the last light of the day a barely perceptible faint pink hue was spreading over the scene. It was too beautiful for words and I was totally overwhelmed by the Spirit as I was in deep worship, extolling the Lord. Darkness was setting in with visibility minimizing and street lights came on, shining dimly in the fog. The Scripture came to my mind “Darkness was upon the face of the deep and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters”. I was pondering on this when suddenly I had a vision of the Lord Jesus (with open eyes, but seeing with my spiritual eyes into the spirit realm) wearing a long white flowing robe, coming out of the mist and walking towards me in a kind of floating motion. I was totally overcome by His presence, being enveloped in His love and light for a while in spite of the darkness that started to fall around me in the natural. I was thinking of the contrast between His light and the darkness setting in around me. Then the Lord reminded me of Stephan, seeing the heavens opened over him and looking into the glory of the Lord, while he was being stoned. The Lord conveyed to me (I use the word “convey” because in visionary experiences the Lord usually doesn’t commune with words, but there is an understanding and a “knowing” of what He is “saying” in the spirit-to Spirit communication) that, when darkness comes over the earth and even when persecution comes (and it will come according to the Scriptures), there will be no fear. We should keep looking into the glory and shining forth His glory light (Is.60:1), being prepared to bear bold witness of Him in spite of it. I knew that this was a message for the church to come up in higher places in the glory so that His glory light can shine so brightly over us that “kings will come to the brightness of your rising” to enquire about Him. I stood there worshiping the Lord for a long time.

This type of vision the “lowest” kind of vision, but the greatest in revelatory content and it requires a greater measure of faith.

This falls in the category of a message-type vision.

In this vision there was also the symbolical element that nature played in the revelation of the Lord’s message to me. (Jesus always taught in parables).

Mat 13:34 “ All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them”

The experience left me impacted with the awesome power of His Presence and the deep knowing that His light dispels all darkness. I was meditating on it for the rest of the evening, also recording it in my journal and it was imprinted in my spirit man as a strengthening for the perilous times ahead. How glorious is our Lord!

THE “SEER” ANOINTING – 2HEARING AND SEEING GO TOGETHER.

HEARING AND SEEING GO TOGETHER.

I cannot over emphasize the importance of being saturated with the Word of God, worship and prayer so that our whole being be filled and saturated with the Spirit.

As our consciousness is absorbed IN HIM in the LIGHT, our heart is made ready to receive impressions from the Holy Spirit and is impressed upon with His “now” revelation, being an open receptive “tablet” for the Holy Spirit to write on.

More on the “apokalupsis” (Strong’s Greek 602), meaning “uncovering”:

It is that moment when “the light comes on”, revelation floods your understanding and suddenly you “see” that which was hidden or “covered”. Your eyes are “enlightened” by the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the knowledge of Him and the Word becomes reality to you. This is an apokalupsis-type experience.

The problem is that many of us “lose” much of the impact of what God wants to reveal to us, simply because we do not take time to let it make an imprint on our hearts through meditation and study. I recommend using a concordance. Also look up the meaning of words in Strong’s on Google.

In the Hebraic language, words are coupled with pictures and become visually descriptive images. This is very significant in our endeavor to see more clearly what the Lord is saying. In simple terms we need to learn to envison (or put a picture to) the Word that we receive from the Lord.

It is amazing to see how our spiritual understanding is opening up and being expanded daily as we keep on praying for the Spirit of Wisdom and revelation…to give us “enlightened eyes of our understanding’” according to Ephesians 1: 17-20.

Strong's Greek: 5461.- to shine

Cognate: 5461 phōtízō (from 5457 /phṓs, "light") – properly, enlighten; (figuratively) God sharing His life, exposing and overcoming darkness – like the ignorance (prejudice) caused by sin.

This is interesting that the word “enlightening” is derived from phōtízō

which signifies a photograph or picture. Therefore we could pray that our heart’s eyes would receive the “picture” of what God is saying. Also exercise your sanctified imagination to “see” what He is saying (Hab.2:1-2).

On top of Wisdom and Revelation and “eyes to see” we need the light of understanding for the illumination of the things unveiled to us. Thus: we need to understand the “picture” and know how to apply it by asking for Wisdom.

One such “enlightening” comes on the understanding of the “rhema” word. The written Word (“logos”) becomes “rhema’ (revelation) to us when the Holy Spirit gives life to a specific scripture and it resounds in the depth our spirit with understanding, “for the letter killeth, but the Spirit gives life’ (II Cor. 3: 6). This is one way in which the Lord “speaks” to us.

23 “If any man has ears to hear, let him be listening and let him perceive and comprehend.

24 And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you—and more [besides] will be given to you who hear.

25 For to him who has will more be given; and from him who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away [by force]” (Mark 4:23-25 Amplified Bible)

MEDITATING ON WORDS, VISIONS, DREAMS OR REVELATIONS IS A GREAT KEY FOR INCREASE.

The more we meditate on that Word, or “picture” (in whatever form it comes, e.g. a vision or dream, etc.) feeding on it, agreeing with it and speaking it forth, the more we can start seeing the picture according to God’s Word until it becomes substance on the inside of us. Faith rises up in us and it brings strength and encouragement to our spirit man. Seeing by the eyes of faith (having the picture of God’s promise before us) displaces fear images and enables us to see and expect the fulfillment of God’s promises (Heb. 11:1). This is a vital key for victory in every situation of our lives.

God showed Abram the stars to get the picture of what He was saying when he said that his seed would be like the stars (Gen 15:5). In Gen 22: 17 God adds the picture of the sand of the sea to make Abraham understand what He was saying.

Currently there is much emphasis on the eye and the visionary aspects in the prophetic stream and I have been led to discuss various kinds of visions and dreams in the following weeks.
